The Bikini Cocktail
Makes enough for 10 guests
For the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Drink (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
For the Cordial: Place every ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, mixing to dissolve. After that, take off the heat and let it to cool entirely. Pour into a clean bottle, close it and store in the refrigerator, where it will keep for around a month.
For the Cocktail Base: Pour every spirits and syrup in a sizeable container, leave to sit for one hour, then strain best through a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of your cocktail base into your stirring glass containing ice, and stir lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Pour into an chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, garnish with a few cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a light spray of mandarin oil over the drink.
